The fuel filter cleans the fuel by trapping particulate matter before the fuel reaches the fuel injectors.

Function and Design
The fuel filter prevents particulate matter from reaching the engine and creating abrasion inside cylinders, particularly in the upper sections. If the fuel filter is not replaced regularly, it may become clogged with contaminants. This will create a restriction in the fuel flow, causing a significant drop in engine performance. Follow your vehicle’s specific maintenance schedule pertaining to fuel filter inspection and replacement.
